Cathleen & Poga: The Inn at Vint Hill Wedding

I'm back, friends!  I took a hiatus from blogging for a little over year and I'm so excited to get back to sharing these beautiful weddings with you!  I don't want to leave any of my amazing clients off the blog, so I will be blogging weddings from the past 18 months interspersed with current weddings and sessions.  I hope you enjoy!!

I had the pleasure of shooting next to the oh so talented Michelle Renee of Michelle Renee Photography for Cathleen and Poga's Inn at Vint Hill Wedding.  Enjoy a few of my favorites from their gorgeous day!!

Thank you again to Michelle, Cathleen and Poga for letting me be a part of this beautiful day!!

Heather & Thomas: Alexandria Engagement Session

The words that Heather used to announce her engagement to Thomas were perfect:  "Recently on our holiday in France in the lovely Loire valley, in the shadow of a gorgeous ch√Ęteau, Thomas dropped to one knee and asked me to be his forever."

When I read this, I squealed out of pure excitement for my sweet friend.  I've known Heather for more than 12 years and I can promise you there is no one out there like her.  She is beautiful, smart, loud and vivacious.  And after spending the day with her and Thomas, it's safe to say that he is her perfect match.

I am so incredibly thrilled for these two.  It was hard to narrow down a few favorites for the blog post but I tried!

How stinking adorable is Mr Freddy in his bow tie?!?  Love this guy!

The evening light was to die for.

The "almost" kiss, it's definitely my favorite.

These two made my job easy.  They are so incredibly natural with each other.

I had so many favorites from their session but I think this might be my absolute favorite.

Thomas rocking the striped socks.

How good looking are these two?!  Heather is wearing the dress she wore when Thomas proposed to her.

I lied, this is my favorite.  Yep, definitely this one.

Paul and Christy: A Winery at Bull Run Wedding

When my friend Christy announced that she and Paul were engaged, I jokingly told her "I know this girl that's a wedding photographer".  With Christy's natural beauty and amazing sense of style, I knew this was a wedding I not only wanted to witness but I wanted to document as well.  So, obviously I was thrilled when she and Paul asked me to be their wedding photographer.  I got even more excited when she told me it was just going to be a casual, weekday affair!

So, on a beautiful, crisp Friday in late September, Christy and Paul said "I do".  Surrounded by their closest friends and family, nestled in the old ruins and vineyards of The Winery at Bull Run, they promised to be each other's forever.

Christy and Paul, I am so honored that you chose me to document your day and your love.  I wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!

Enjoy a few (okay, a lot) of my favorites from their beautiful day!

A girl after my own DIY heart: Christy couldn't find the exact shade of blue she wanted her shoes to be so, she painted them!!  They looked fabulous!!

Is she gorgeous or what?

Paul, you don't look so bad yourself ;)

More DIY goodness!!

Husband and wife!!

This could be a new favorite!!

I love how Paul can make Christy laugh so easily :)
